Are Portuguese Water Dogs Good Family Dogs?

Portuguese  Water  Dogs want to be part of the “crew” which can also be a family. They want to be included in all the action, at the dinner table, at the park, and work, etc. For that reason, their constant need to be part of the action, they might not be good for all families. If you want a dog you can leave all day, and then be part of the family when you prefer, like the evening, this would not be a good breed for you. Above is a photo of my grandson having a mini hamburger at a new hamburder joint near us.  Goji dog does not want a hamburger, he just want to be at the table and treated like a human.  You can yell and scream all you want to get him away from the table, but I’ve found the only thing that works is a squirt of water in the face.
