Another one of my favorites is the Weineraner. These beautiful dogs are loyal and gentle and won’t tear the house up. Weineraners are intelligent and hard workers and great with the kids.

One other entry that I advise friends to get when looking for the right dog for kids is the English Pointer. Along with English Setter, Pointers are some of the best canines on the planet. They work hard to please and they are so good looking. Excellent with kids, Pointers and Setters are simple to care for and train.
